Senior System Test Engineer

For Omrons European R&D department, in ’s-Hertogenbosch – The Netherlands, we are urgently looking for a Senior System Test Engineer - who will do more than just produce a new product!

In this important position, your effort in the complete development-process is crucial; from concept, planning and design until production. You will not only be working closely with Hardware-, and Software Engineers, but also with your colleagues from Marketing, Sales, Production and last but certainly not least the Customer.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior System Test Engineer at Omron, you are responsible for:

  • Working together with our Customer, Marketing, Development engineers and system designers to fully understand the requirements and to improve these;
  • Independently create a test strategy and test plan based on products risks and business requirements;
  • Develop test cases, execute tests and analyze the test results;
  • Search, analyze, isolate and document for root-cause of the found product defects;
  • Release the product together with the project team, based on the test cases, the found results and the upfront determined test criterias;
  • Implement, service and improve the test-scripts, in an automated test system (based on NI TestStand).

Requirements:

  • You have an Academic or Vocational degree in Engineering or Electronics

    You have several of years of experience in:
  • Testing Embedded Software;
  • Industrial Automation (PLC’s and/or Motion Controllers);
  • Testing of Industrial Networks (for example DeviceNet, Profibus, ProfiNet, EtherCAT);
  • ISTQB, Tmap and/or other Test Methods.

Next to the above mentioned criteria, we want the candidates to:

  • Have a good understanding for the English language (both spoken and written);
